Tiger and Mog: Make Your Own Story!

Z-arts have teamed up with the Story Drawing Club, Discover Story Centre, Read Manchester and Stagecoach to bring families from across Manchester a wonderful new creative programme to inspire the next generation of story writers and illustrators. Manchester and the UK is filled with people of all different kinds of heritage and people who live here but come from all over the world. We want children to write stories that reflect this rich tapestry of life and this creative programme will help children to see themselves as the leading character in their own story.

Over 5 weeks, every Monday, we will be providing you at home with drawing tutorials by Emma from the Story Drawing Club. This will work alongside a brilliant new book we have created, which helps you write an imaginative and exciting story inspired by Z-arts current immersive experience The Tiger Who Came to Tea and the adventures of Mog the Forgetful Cat based on the well-known and much loved books of Judith Kerr. Judith wrote and drew books and stories about her family and pets and our tutorials will help you illustrate your story writing book beautifully. You can download your special book here.

We would love for you to share your creations with us each week using #TigerAndMog #StoryDrawingClub and tagging us on social media. Each week on Monday a new drawing tutorial will be released, send us photos of your work by Friday of the same week using the hashtags above and we will choose a lucky weekly winner who will receive art pack prize. Winners will be announced each Monday alongside the new video tutorial – we can’t wait to see what you create! Download the book and watch the first video below
