Following the launch of the Levi’s® Music Project in 2016, which saw the brand partner with grime royalty Skepta to establish a community youth music studio in Tottenham, the Levi’s® brand has announced the expansion of the programme to Manchester in collaboration with Z-arts.
The partnership will enable the group of young people to be introduced to the music industry, facilitating the beginning of a music education, whilst demonstrating how music can unite not only individuals but whole communities.
Levis and Z-arts are looking for 12 young people and 3 professional musicians to work together on an exciting 2 week project.
This is an incredible and unique opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and Mercury Music nominated Everything Everything culminating in live music performances in Manchester and London.
For two weeks from the 29 August to the 9 September, Levi’s and Z-arts will be hosting daily workshops with a group of twelve young people. During these workshops, the participants will get a chance to hone their talents and learn about music from a range of educators and industry professionals. The theme of the project is music as a uniting force, as such the project will encourage collaboration between young people.
