Z-access Day

What can I expect from the day?

A day filled with creativity and inclusion, celebrating our love of libraries and books in partnership with Manchester’s Festival of Libraries. This event will feature engaging workshops in dance, drama, music, circus, and arts. Our interactive experience, The 100 Story Hotel, will be open for families to enjoy, with an experienced Story Explorer on hand to support families through the experience.

Who is this day for?

The day is designed to cater especially to families where a member may have an autistic spectrum condition, sensory or communication challenges, or identifies with a disability. Z-access Day promises joy and inclusion for all.

What will you have on the day to support me and my family?

The day is open and free for all, and will have a dedicated team of friendly and inclusive facilitators and staff, including a BSL interpreter. Colourful maps will guide you on your adventure through various activities within the building. Additionally, we offer a sensory room and a designated time-out space for families seeking a moment of respite or tranquillity.
