The Mikado
The award winning Sale Gilbert and Sullivan Society are pleased to be returning to Z-Arts with another lively, witty and colourful production of The Mikado.
Condemned to death for flirting, Ko-Ko is cleverly promoted to the rank of Lord High Executioner so that, being next in line himself to be decapitated, is unable to execute anyone else until he has executed himself! This solution is soon foiled when The Mikado arrives and demands an execution to take place within the month. Ko-Ko desperately seeks to find a willing volunteer to take his place but can only succeed by agreeing to give away the hand of his betrothed in marriage to Nanki-Poo.
But Nanki-Poo is not who he appears to be… Try not to lose your head as the plot thickens
