Manchester Literature Festival and Z-arts are delighted to announce the return of Michael Rosen, one of the UK’s best-known figures in the children’s book world. The fifth Children’s Laureate and a passionate advocate of children’s reading, Michael has published numerous poetry collections, picture books and anthologies for children including We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, This is Our House and Centrally Heated Knickers. Come and hear Michael perform some of his favourite poems at what is sure is to be an unforgettable event suitable for children at Key Stage 2 / children aged 7+ and their families.

This event ties in with the fantastic touring exhibition from Discover Children’s Story Centre, Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake and Bad Things, visiting Z-arts between 17 September and 17 December this year. Schools and families can step inside a humongous chocolate cake and explore a secret larder, swishy swashy and splash splosh your way through a Bear Hunt. Find out more

Tickets for the event with Michael (without the tour of the exhibition) are just £5 each per teacher, student of family member. 

There are a limited number of tickets available for schools and families to book onto both the event with Michael and the tour of the interactive exhibition Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake and Bad Things.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SCHOOL VISITS TO BEAR HUNT, CHOCOLATE CAKE & BAD THINGS ARE AVAILABLE MONDAY TO FRIDAY UP UNTIL THURSDAY 6TH OCTOBER AND FROM MONDAY 10TH OCTOBER UNTIL FRIDAY 17TH DECEMBER.

ONLY THE TOURS ON THE SAME DAY AS MICHAEL’S PERFORMANCE ON THE 7TH OCTOBER AT Z-ARTS ARE SOLD OUT.
