Join Z-arts’ resident artists to explore David Litchfield & Ross Montgomery’s beautiful, moving and heart-warming tale about bravery, kindness, and welcoming strangers through a variety of creative workshops.
Come on an intergalactic journey with us! We have 1 online session and 2 sessions at Z-arts for you to take part in this June half-term holiday.
Monday 30th May, for ages 5 – 11, both sessions will be held online via Zoom.
Join us online with the lovely artist Kirsty for a making session that will have you getting creative at home!
During this session we will practice drawing zentangles and mandalas to make beautiful patterns on Space Tortoises shell!
You will need:
A4 paper
The below two templates (if you have access to a printer) OR a bowl or plate (to draw around if not using template print out)
Pencil / Eraser
Colourful felt tips or colouring pencils
Tuesday 31st May, 10.00am – 12pm for ages 5 – 7 years, 1.00pm – 3.00pm for ages 8 – 11, both sessions will be held in the Z-arts building.
Tuesday is all about moving! And who better to teach it than our fabulous Natasha! It will be a drama and movement session that investigates storytelling through mime, physical theatre and dance. Natasha will playfully explore Ross Montgomery’s storybook Space Tortoise and the theme of space, journeys and overcoming obstacles both mentally and physically.
Wednesday 1st June, 10.00am – 12pm for ages 5 – 7 years, 1.00pm – 3.00pm for ages 8 – 11, both sessions will be held in the Z-arts building.
Join us on Wednesday for a crafting and making session that is out of this world! Led by the wonderful Janine, who will be celebrating the Ross Montgomery story of the Space Tortoise with a cosmic workshop based around space and all things intergalactic.
So, buckle up and get ready to blast off into a world of your imagination and creativity!
