All Z-arts core staff are currently furloughed until Wednesday 1 July. We are supporting our freelancers and they will continue to run our Bright Sparks Zoom classes during this period and we have scheduled a lot of fun things to share on social media, but please be aware that our box office and social media is currently unstaffed.

Due to the measures introduced by the government to try to halt the spread of COVID-19, including reducing social contact, banning gatherings in places including restaurants and theatres, Z-arts is currently closed. After discussion, we have decided to keep our doors closed to the public for the foreseeable future, and will be reviewing this on a regular basis. The most important thing to us is the health and welfare of our children and families and until we can ensure your safety, we will remain closed.

What does this mean for Z-arts?

We have been humbled by the amount of support we have received from our friends in the community and our wonderful families during our closure period so far, which is helping us enormously in getting through these difficult times. We’re currently trying to assess how we can stay afloat in one of the most challenging periods we have faced in our history, whilst at the same time supporting our staff and all of the children we work with. The longer the closure continues, the more difficult it becomes to cover our losses.

It means that we won’t be able to bring the innovative theatre for children from abroad that we love to bring to Hulme this season, but we hope to reschedule these shows in the future, when it’s safe for international companies to travel, and for you to come and see their brilliant work!

We will  be looking to continue to inspire and engage children through other means and are creating exciting digital content which we’re sharing across our social media platforms and on our website in our Things To Do at Home section, so keep an eye out for this and stay in touch!

Re-bookings, donations or refunds

We know that this is an extremely difficult time for everyone, and we will of course be offering full refunds. However, if you are able to, we would really appreciate it if you would choose a credit note or even consider donating the cost or a part of the cost of your ticket to us. We realise that this is a big ask, but as a small registered charity, every penny matters to us right now.

To allow us to process your request, please email emma@z-arts.org, and chose from an option below;-

  1. Please credit my account. We would love to come and see you when you’re open again!
  2. Please donate the cost of my ticket to Z-arts to help you during your closure
  3. Please donate X% of my ticket cost and refund me the remaining balance
  4. Please refund my entire booking

Thank you for your continued support, we miss you all ever so much! Stay safe.
