Want to try playing Baroque Music on authentic instruments and bows? Join experts from Baroque In The North to explore baroque music for string ensemble.

Each session will explore how to play in an historically informed manner, looking at sound production, bowing and ornamentation. During the day you will get the chance to try authentic bows and instruments in the sessions. Or you can bring your own.

The Early Music Shop will be running a pop-up shop during the day, offering you the chance to ask questions from their experts, purchase music and see their amazing range of instruments.

Suitable for all ages. Minimum grade 5 standard recommended. Violins, Violas, Cellos and Double basses all welcome!
